Business Development Manager (South West)

The Business Development Manager is working with a PLC listed UK market leading manufacturer with an impressive portfolio of manufacturing sites across the UK.

The Business Development Manager will need to develop a regional strategy to both facilitate and grow existing business across the South West of England.

The role is paying up to £52k and reports to the National Business Development Manager, with the primary focus of retaining and growing housing developer accounts.

The successful applicant will have construction experience, with a focus on national housing developers and building product experience.

1. To deliver increased sales and improved profitability through product specification and proactive sales activity.
2. Act as the key contact between the company and the territories customer base in order to exceed customer expectations.
3. To promote all products into Housing Developer customer base which are in line with the company sales expectations.
4. To develop new and existing customer relationships in order to maximise the full potential of all accounts within the territory.
5. Develop and manage a strong site pipeline in order to achieve sales targets.
6. To continually review sales data in order to support commercial activity whilst embracing emerging technologies to maximise opportunities within the sales cycle.

1. Experience in the construction with national housing developers is essential.
2. Strong formal and informal presentation skills.
3. Negotiation and account management skills.
4. Experience of financial analytics and insights.
5. Strong entrepreneurial instincts and looks for new ways to drive success within the business framework and strategies.
6. Excellent communicator with good facilitation skills.
7. The ability to use relevant computer applications and to think creatively, analytically and commercially.
