Role Summary:

As the Business Development / Pre-Construction Manager at Jackson Remediation, you will play a critical role in sustaining our market-leading position and business growth. You will represent the company at client meetings and industry events, leveraging your existing knowledge of the remediation/waste/geoenvironmental sector, our own extensive network of clients and your network of contacts to forge new partnerships and expand our client base. In addition you will hold key responsibility for the coordination and submission of industry-leading tender responses, using your own skill and experience and crucially organising and liaising with the Technical, Commercial and Operational counterparts. This position requires a confident, self-motivated professional who can represent our brand with integrity and enthusiasm.

Primary Tasks and Duties:

  1. Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets and enhance the company's profile within the remediation / geo-environmental sector.
  2. Identify and pursue new tender opportunities through exploitation of our existing client base / network, industry networking and research, and attending relevant events and conferences.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction.
  4. Promote the company via suitable media channels (i.e. LinkedIn).
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals and client needs.
  6. Lead the tender process from start to finish (with collaboration from internal technical/ commercial/ Ops teams), ensuring all submissions align with our values and standards.

Essential skills & abilities:

  1. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills – with a track-record in client-facing roles.
  2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  5. Positive attitude.
  6. A full UK driving licence.
  7. Be willing to travel.

Desirable:

  1. Proven experience in a client-facing role within the environmental sector—or a background in relevant environmental science or engineering with an interest in transitioning to sales.
  2. Degree Level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  3. Technical background and Contracting experience would be a significant advantage.
  4. Ability to innovate and be creative in approaching the market.
