Position Summary

Purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is to globally develop existing customers and identify new opportunities within the Nuclear market for Grayloc and, where applicable, OII business as a whole. Such techniques include assessment of marketing opportunities, intelligence gathering on customers and competitors, conducting surveys, generating leads for possible sales, advice, market share data assessments, developing SWOT analysis, follow-up sales activity, formal proposal or presentation management and writing, pitch and presentation rehearsals. With the above knowledge, develop a strategy to implement a plan that can be presented to Grayloc Business Development Manager and Grayloc G.M. International travel overseas will be required.

• Role provides the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, working both virtually and in an office when required.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally at least 40% of the time.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

ESSENTIAL

• Understand the overall objectives for the growth of Nuclear business for Grayloc and, where applicable, OII business as a whole. This will require close coordination with departments within Grayloc in regard to adding new products, market expansion possibilities, business acquisition, inside and outside business influences, sales support, and overall goals and objectives.

• Provide both tactical business and product developmental support. Strategic support includes supporting the stakeholders for each product and operating areas and understanding their goals and objectives. Tactical support includes direct involvement as necessary to ensure the teams' developmental efforts are successful.

• The Business Development role is integral with the sales team members within Grayloc, and with customers either in new business development and/or with sales to identify customer needs and expose areas that Grayloc may leverage into new business.

• Gather and report market data which includes establishing total available market size and Grayloc market share for the business unit. Develop and review market share data with Grayloc Business Development Manager and develop strategic plans to increase market share.

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans in collaboration with Grayloc Business Development Manager to accommodate corporate goals.

• Support by providing input into monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting activities which include established projects as well as opportunities.

• Review market analyses with Grayloc Business Development Manager and Grayloc Sales Managers to determine customer needs and price schedules.

• Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition. This includes competitors' market share of the region and globally, equipment volume and capabilities in the region, and any strategic alliances for competition.

• Support in the development of a detailed business plan as required for growth.

• Domestic and international travel at least 40% of the time.

ADDITIONAL

• Spend time with the whole Grayloc team to learn their respective products and services and support BU's in compiling sales and marketing literature along with support at trade shows and symposiums.

• Work closely with the Grayloc Business Development Manager and Grayloc Sales Managers and help align processes and synergy globally.

• Assist in identifying where product line or regional weaknesses exist and especially where customers are requesting improvement.

• Network in the industry with clients and with other business people.

• Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry.

• Adopt a team approach; work with others in pursuing common goals.

• Other duties as assigned.

• None.

Reporting Relationship

• Reports to Business Development Manager - Grayloc Products

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in an engineered-based discipline or equivalent education and experience.

• Minimum three (3) plus years of experience in the Nuclear industry or supplying into the Nuclear Market.

• Three (3) years experience in Business Development.

• Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems, Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and Presentation software.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally at least 40% of the time.

• Ability to become technically savvy of the products and services Grayloc offers.

DESIRED

• Knowledge of flange/clamp connection market for oilfield and/or refinery industry.

• Five (5) years of experience in the Nuclear industry or supplying into the Nuclear Market.

• MBA from an accredited college or university.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

• Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.

• Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.

• Work surface is stable (flat).
