Job Title – Business Development Manager – Motor Sector

Job Location – North UK

Salary – £28k – £35k basic with a £60k OTE plus company car

The Business Development Manager position is an integral part of the sales team driving the growth of the SME sector within the company.

The business has developed a range of products suitable for the needs of Small to Medium sized businesses (SME) and through your proactive approach you will identify companies with a rental requirement, create interest in our service offering and deliver its value.

Reporting to the SME Sales Director, working in a professional fast paced environment the Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new sales within the SME sector in their geographical territory and evolving them into long term profitable relationships.

This role calls for a high energy, sales orientated and ‘hungry’ individual. The role is split 90/10 between new business and account management

Responsibilities

  • You will be expected to prospect, convert and maximise sales to new business customers
  • To develop account profitability and achieve monthly revenue targets
  • To identify and lead on new opportunities, developing and pitching new proposals, and ensuring successful implementation
  • Provide feedback on competitor activity in the marketplace in order to gain market share
  • To communicate new, or changes to existing product range, terms or conditions when required
  • To ensure activity is recorded accurately on individual portfolio accounts via Salesforce (CRM)
  • To plan daily activity to ensure focus on sales and targets
  • Develop and implement a new business sales plan
  • Have a clear understanding of Europcar’s portfolio of products and be able to align and communicate the features and benefits of each
  • Ensure written and verbal customer communication is accurate, professional and timely

Job Requirements

  • Results driven and motivated by success, able to prove and substantiate a progressive career to date.
  • Solid sales skills with demonstrable business to business sales success at senior level
  • Inquisitive and incisive with a lateral thinking attitude
  • Clear communicator with the aptitude to gain trust and confidence of both clients and colleagues
  • Aware of attention to detail
  • Able to work unsupervised and to successfully complete tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Will adapt comfortably working both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to multitask and to simultaneously manage a portfolio of prospect accounts at different stages of the sales cycle
  • IT literate, within Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Established external network
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • A strong communicator, able to objection handle, negotiate and close decision makers
