Job description

A fantastic Business Development Manager job in Manchester, paying a salary of £30,000 plus bonuses, is available for the Pendulum Hotel & Conference Centre.


This role offers a candidate excellent flexibility of working hours, 32 hours per week, with flexibility available on how you distribute these hours across the week. As someone with experience, you will know when/where your time is best allocated and can adjust your schedule accordingly.


Highlights:
  1. Base salary of £30,000 based on 32 hours per week.
  2. Performance bonuses to be agreed/discussed as part of job offer.
  3. Flexibility on how you distribute your hours. Also happy for you to spread across 4 or 5 days.
  4. 28 Days holiday (with an additional day off on your Birthday).
  5. Local Gym discounts. Discounted stays and F&B discounts across the hotel management group.
  6. Subsidised local parking permit if needed, providing unlimited parking in Manchester City Centre (which can also be used on your days off if needed).
  7. Subsidised taxis for those on late shifts if required.

Role Overview:

The BDM would be responsible for pro-actively sourcing new business for the venue, develop relationships with existing clients and smaller local agents. Following on sales leads, identifying opportunities, and conducting hotel presentations and site visits.


This role is aimed at targeting conference business and specifically; Training, University, Local NHS and 24-hour groups. KPI's will monitor progress with set targets to achieve each month.


Experience Requirements:
  1. Proactive Sales/Business Development experience (doesn't specifically have to be in hotels or conferences).
  2. You must have some sort of experience within hotels or conference venues, either in sales or in an operational role.
  3. If you only have reactive sales experience, but in Hotels/Conferences, we may still be able to consider you for this role.
