Job Title: Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding
Location: Manchester or Dewsbury
Salary: Up to £50,000 (DEO) + Car Allowance + Commission

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our client's growing team. This will be based out of either the Manchester or Dewsbury office and will involve a mixture of office, field, and remote working covering a patch/territory.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business in air, road, and sea freight services. With ample sales leads and an exceptional sales training program, this is a fantastic opportunity.

As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with their Commercial and Operational teams to build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. You'll have the support you need to succeed, making it a dream role for any salesperson!

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in air, road, and sea freight services
  2. Work closely with the Commercial and Operational teams to deliver top-notch solutions to clients
  3. Build and nurture relationships with existing clients to grow revenue
  4. Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive lead generation
  5. Provide regular updates to the leadership team on sales progress and market developments
  6. Work to targets & KPI's
About You:
  1. Proven experience in freight forwarding and a strong understanding of logistics services
  2. A track record in sales with the ability to generate and close new business
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  4. Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  5. Comfortable working in a team and collaboratively across departments
