About Our Client

My client is well-established within the Garden & Home Industry. There are circa 400 existing accounts within the UK and this role has warm, established existing accounts. Majority of the role is existing business; however, this is an excellent incentive to bring on new business within Hardware/Garden Centres, Plant Shops, Independent/Home Stores, too. You can really make this role your own and it is perfect for a target-driven and hungry individual, who excels in short sales cycles, deal closing, and can work quickly to calculate margins/pricing.

Job Description

The successful Business Development Manager - East Anglia (Garden Centres + Indies) will:

  • Proactively visit customers within the East Anglia Territory (60-70 customers)
  • Manage and develop relations with existing accounts
  • Proactively seek new business / upsell where possible
  • Journey Plan effectively i.e. furthest out and work backwards, expect at least one night away per week dependent on planning
  • Make 3 calls per day (4 days per week) / prospect new business
