The ideal candidate will have exceptional sales skills and be incredibly organised to manage many different clients simultaneously; a confident self-starter and a natural problem solver to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone that’s passionate about team sport and would share common ground with customers you’d be dealing with day in, day out.

Role Insights:

You will be working within our Custom Clothing Team, with direct liaison to our Head of Y1 Custom. You’ll be responsible for generating outbound leads and managing inbound leads, taking customers from initial enquiries all the way through to placing an order.

Flexibility is key. Split your week between our buzzing London hub (min. 3 days p/w) and your home (max. 2 days p/w).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Building a pipeline of outbound sales.
  • Having excellent communication with potential clients, formally via email and phone.
  • Planning a clear strategy to grow the Y1 Custom brand across a wide range of sports at university and school campuses.
  • Following our Y1 Custom “sales playbook” closely and having weekly meetings with our Head of Y1 Custom to feedback on progress.
  • Being responsible for communication and correspondence with key stakeholders in committees ensuring they feel valued.
  • Creating engaging and professional proposals convincing clubs to work with us.
  • Creating mock-up designs for clients (no design experience needed).
  • Communicating with clients clearly in all aspects of the process.
  • Maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a smooth process to gain customer loyalty.

Must-Haves:

  • Strong with Microsoft Excel (or equivalent).
  • Literate with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (or equivalents).
  • Excellent time management skills.

Beneficial Skills:

  • Startup experience or internships with early-stage start-ups.
  • Previous design experience (Affinity Designer/Adobe Illustrator) or working with equivalent software.

Compensation:

  • 24k p.a. plus advantageous commission structure.
  • 25 days holiday p.a., plus bank holidays.
  • £500 Y1 Sport Gift Voucher p.a.

Job Types: Full-time, Graduate

Pay: From £24,000.00 per year
