With expertise in genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics, we offer method development, assay validation, and sample analysis services using cutting-edge technologies such as qPCR, dPCR, NGS, and Olink. Our laboratory is GCLP compliant, GLP and ISO 17025:2017 accredited with standards for stringent quality assurance.
We are currently seeking a driven, strategic, and scientifically minded individual to join our Commercial Team as a Business Development Manager. This role is preferably based in the United Kingdom, offering remote work and requiring travel to engage with clients and attend industry events. What you will do
- Identifying and researching potential clients and emerging trends within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry to proactively discover new business opportunities.
- Developing and nurturing long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the drug development community, using a scientific approach to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Generating new business leads through networking, industry events, digital platforms, and referrals, and enhancing opportunities by fostering strong relationships with existing clients.
- Attending and representing TATAA at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to enhance our brand visibility, expand networks, and build professional relationships.
- Conducting market and competitor research to identify growth opportunities and market differentiation.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including project managers and senior leadership, to develop tailored service offerings, proposals, and presentations that align with client needs, business goals and TATAA’s scientific expertise, while ensuring smooth project execution and successful client outcomes from proposal to delivery.
- Preparing and delivering persuasive presentations, proposals and quotations to potential clients emphasizing the value and benefits of TATAA’s services.
- Negotiating contracts and pricing agreements to ensure favorable terms while balancing client satisfaction and profitability.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records to track activities, interactions, and sales opportunities, ensuring efficient follow-up and seamless client handovers.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences).
- At least five years of proven success in business development, sales, or account management roles, ideally within the life sciences or CRO industries, with experience in laboratory services, contract research, or other related scientific services.
- Strong knowledge of qPCR, digital PCR, NGS, and related genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics technologies.
- Familiarity with GLP regulations, GCLP compliance, and ISO 17025 standards, particularly in laboratory operations and service delivery within regulated environments.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, preferably Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
- Strong experience with market research, competitive analysis, and identifying areas for differentiation.
- Experience representing a company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
