Job description

Role: Business Development Manager
Location: Fully Remote with ad hoc visits to Brighton office
Hours: Monday - Friday
Pay: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Commission

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join one of our longstanding and dedicated clients on a remote basis. There will be occasional travel to the Brighton office required so you will ideally live in the South East.

The Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in sales, ideally with technical or environmental products
  2. Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  3. Ability to build and maintain client relationships at all levels
  4. Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  5. Skilled in developing business plans and creating proposals
  6. Confident delivering product demonstrations and sales pitches
  7. Excellent communication, organisation, and time management
  8. Familiarity with Microsoft and Google productivity tools
  9. Self-motivated, ambitious, and results-driven
  10. Proactive, confident, and enthusiastic in a dynamic environment
  11. Strong team player with a willingness to learn and work under pressure
  12. Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C (or equivalent)
  13. Experience with HubSpot (desirable)
  14. Understanding of the environmental consultancy or property sector (desirable)

The Role:
  1. Manage and grow a portfolio of clients within the Insights division.
  2. Drive product adoption, client retention, and new business growth.
  3. Develop and deliver sales plans to meet/exceed targets.
  4. Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
  5. Create strategic account plans and collaborate with marketing on campaigns.
  6. Respond to client inquiries and follow up on leads.
  7. Provide market feedback to support product development.
  8. Maintain accurate records in HubSpot and stay updated on industry trends.
  9. Promote the company's values, including B Corp commitments.
