Job description

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Field Based/ Remote/ Nottingham/ Derby

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: To drive the revenue and profit performance of the bars within the ‘hub’. To focus on generating growth through corporate clients by expanding The Revel Collective’s network. To identify, plan and support the execution of large-scale & on-brand events which generate LFL growth. To increase the reputation and awareness of our venues through effective sales driving techniques and proactive business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound & Enquiry Management:
  1. Handle enquiries for the hub that are +35 people which will be passed over from the central reservations team
  2. Carry out show-rounds and client meetings when required
  3. Use effective sales techniques to maximise conversion
  4. Deal with enquiries to a brand standard and support the central reservations team where needed
Outbound:
  1. Consistently be out & visible in the hub locations promoting the business(es) through effective activity
  2. Attend networking events regularly across the locations
  3. Plan and execute targeted and specific outbound plans to generate revenue across the year and especially across the festive period
  4. Execute brand outbound activity as directed by the Bars BDM
Events & Strategy:
  1. Work alongside the GMs within the hub to plan quarterly strategies regarding local activity that sits alongside the ‘always on’ business approach
  2. Develop concepts for events within the locations that provide a revenue opportunity
  3. Effectively work with the Social Media & Events Executive to market said events to maximise success
  4. Consistently explore project event space opportunities that will be beneficial for the business(es) and manage relationships with event suppliers
People & Organisation:
  1. Work collaboratively with the Social Media & Events Executive to ensure strategies are implemented effectively and remain on-brand
  2. Work collaboratively and closely with the Central Support Team to ensure all guests receive an incredible experience when booking with bars within RBG
  3. Work closely with venue teams to ensure planned activity is executed well and the wider team is bought into sales activity
  4. Understand the operation(s) of venues within the hub in order to effectively book in large-scale events

Days & Hours Pattern: You are expected to work a 5 day working week (Monday to Friday). The nature of the business means that there may be occasions where you are expected to work evenings and weekends. This will depend upon the demand on the role and the calendar events that are occurring. The role will include travel across 3 (but not limited to) of our fantastic venues - Revolution Nottingham Cornerhouse, Revolucion de Cuba Nottingham and Revolucion de Cuba Derby. Home-working will likely form a limited part of the working week.
