Our client is a leading industrial supply company providing high-quality solutions to the construction, engineering, and industrial sectors. With a strong reputation for reliability and service excellence, they are expanding their Plant & Tool Hire division and are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth in this key area.

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth within the Plant & Tool Hire division. You will play a pivotal role in expanding market presence, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Growth: Identify, target, and win new business opportunities within the plant and tool hire market.

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Market Research & Strategy: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activity, helping to shape sales strategies.

  • Sales & Negotiation: Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Reporting & Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets, providing regular reports and forecasts to senior management.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management within the plant hire, tool hire, or construction equipment rental industry.

  • Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of plant and tool hire products and services.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and drive sales results.

  • A proactive and strategic mindset with a passion for developing new business opportunities.

  • Full UK driving licence.
