Business Development Manager

Location: Edinburgh/Hybrid

Salary: Competitive Salary

VIQU have partnered with a leading company within the energy industry who are seeking a Business Development Manager to promote sales in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Renewables sector. This role requires occasional travel throughout Scotland.

Duties of the Business Development Manager:
  • Achieve agreed sales targets for new business within the T&D and renewable energy market.
  • Develop a sales and growth strategy for the business, identifying viable market segments and customers to target.
  • Work with all departments in the company to develop effective Matrix management working, embedding governance of bids, resource and risk management.
  • Promote the company's growth throughout Scotland.
Requirements of the Business Development Manager:
  • Previous experience of developing new business within the T&D or renewables sector.
  • Sales or technical experience with: SCS/Protection Systems/PLC/Scada/DCS/Telemetry systems.
  • Deep understanding of the T&D industry.
  • Ability to build and develop strong relationships with customers.
  • Understand the principles of Matrix management.
