About the Role:
A leading general building contractor in central Scotland is seeking an experienced and proactive Part-Time Business Development Manager to join their team. Our client is flexible regarding the number of hours per week, offering an opportunity to find the right balance. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
  2. Build on existing relationships, with a focus on architectural and engineering practices, as well as Project Quantity Surveyors.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure information is accurate, feasible, and aligned with business objectives.
  4. Identify and target new business opportunities from both prospective and existing clients.
  5. Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries, aiming to secure new business.
  6. Provide regular, accurate, and timely reports on progress toward business development objectives.
  7. Proactively monitor market trends and activity, sharing insights with relevant departments to drive strategic decision-making.
  8. Handle objections and manage complaints to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
What We're Looking For:
  1. Proven experience in business development, ideally within the construction or building services sector.
  2. Strong network of contacts, especially within architectural and engineering practices and with Project Quantity Surveyors.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain and grow client relationships.
  4. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  5. Ability to identify new opportunities and drive business growth.
  6. A proactive approach to market analysis and strategic business development.
