Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Professional to join the National Champions Department.

The National Champions Department is responsible for the delivery of end-to-end product development, entrepreneurship, and investment opportunities to convert lucrative business ideas into national champions that enable job creation and economic growth.

As a Business Development Professional, you will be responsible for accelerating ideas development to reach the commercialization stage, support a new generation of innovators to develop groundbreaking ideas from conception to completion, and facilitating the launch of technology-based startups.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

1. Perform financial due diligence and analysis on prospective investment targets and perform detailed financial valuation analysis.
2. Conduct market research on the industry and gather market intelligence to identify potential opportunities in targeted sectors (e.g., Sustainability/Climate Tech, MedTech, HardTech, Fintech).
3. Develop, validate, and iterate on innovative business models, ensuring alignment with long term strategic goals.
4. Create financial models that enhance return on investment of projects and financial planning.
5. Prepare financial documents for presentation to potential and current investors.
6. Analyze company accounts and financial projections and advise the company on how to best position its investments.
7. Provide updates on financial markets activities in order to right position the company in the local and the global market.
8. Develop an investment policy aligned to the company strategy and an investment criterion for evaluating prospective projects.
9. Ensure that all investment compliance regulations are met.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a:

1. BS degree in engineering discipline & holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
2. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification holder is a plus.
3. 7+ years of proven track record in venture building or investment which includes: conducting business case development and investment assessment.
4. Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics, financial modeling, and economics.
5. Excellent problem-solving, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
