Job description

Role: Business Development Manager

About them:
An electrical contractor that specializes in full installations and temporary electrical site services. Well established for over 40 years, they have depots nationwide and now they have a need for a Business Development Manager to expand and grow their services within national Construction Contractors. You will be based in Bristol covering into South Wales. They are already a very successful company working with some great construction contractors such as Mace, Skanska, Kier, etc.

The successful Business Development Manager will:

  1. Develop relationships with senior buyers, commercial managers, quantity surveyors, and contracts managers within medium to large construction contractors.
  2. Organize and follow up on leads to generate new business, alongside managing existing accounts with tier 1 contractors.
  3. Understand how a building site works and have good knowledge about how to sell into them and how to sell temporary site services or hire solutions into construction contractors.
  4. Sell temporary site electrics to tier 1 contractors and form long-lasting business relationships.

Compensation: £45,000 - £50,000 basic + 10% bonus and car allowance

To qualify as the successful Business Development Manager:
You will be living within a commutable distance of Bristol and will have a full UK driving license. You will have proven sales experience within construction or electrics and experience in selling into main contractors. You will come from a sales background with experience in temporary site services or hire solutions into construction contractors.
