What you will do:

The role represents an excellent opportunity for a business development professional.

  1. You will be responsible for leading and growing SEI’s UK Asset Management footprint with Family Offices.
  2. You will focus on developing business relationships with new clients.
  3. You will have an enterprise-first mindset and the ability to cross sell a range of SEI services.
  4. You will build on SEI’s reputation in the UK market.
  5. You will have the ability to open and develop new client relationships and distribution channels.

Responsibilities:

  1. Initiate and develop asset management relationships with Family Offices.
  2. Achieve new business asset and revenue targets.
  3. Create, manage and execute territory go to market and sales plans.
  4. Deliver high levels of activity to achieve goals.
  5. Clearly and effectively present SEI investment and business proposition.
  6. Evaluate and recommend improvements to support growth.
  7. Identify opportunities to introduce and cross sell other SEI services, including technology and operations capabilities.
  8. Effectively work with asset management Solutions and Marketing teams.
  9. Keep current – (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc) and maintain ongoing and effective communication of these with clients where appropriate.
  10. Adhere to all relevant FCA requirements and compliance, completing all necessary training within the required timeframe.
  11. Familiarise yourself with Financial Promotions regulations and ensure that all financial promotions materials used have gone through the appropriate compliance approval processes.
  12. Any other ad-hoc projects as required.
  13. All SIEL employees are responsible for the identification, assessment and control of risks and risk events.
What we need from you:
  1. You will have a strong existing network with family offices and a track record of winning new business.
  2. You will have an appetite and passion for business development and relationship management.
  3. A buyer centric mindset and strong desire to initiate new business relationships.
  4. Willingness to build on IFA and wealth management industry and investment management acumen.
  5. Excellent presentation, communication, time management, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Regulatory Categories

SMCR - Certified
This role is identified as a certified role and is therefore subject to the relevant Senior Manager and Certification Regime Rules set by the FCA. This role will perform the following certified functions:

  1. Certification - Client Dealing - CD0 Meeting with Clients.
  2. Certification - Cert Manager.

MiFID II - Staff giving information about investment products, investment services or ancillary services
It is essential that you hold or are working towards the following list of qualifications (or equivalent). If not, it is essential that you are willing to undertake and complete qualifications.

  1. IMC.
  2. Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (Economics, Business, Maths, Accounting, Finance) or Relevant Masters/MBA.
  3. CFA, ACA, ACCA, IAQ.
  4. FIA (Fellow of the Faculty & Institute of Actuaries).
