Job Description: We are seeking a Business Development Director to join a highly reputable firm. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding the firm's portfolio by bringing in substantial new business opportunities. We are looking for genuine players who can deliver work at scale and have the confidence to back themselves. This role offers significant rewards for those who can prove their value.
The firm, established in 2019, offers a new type of real estate advisory business that focuses on creating solutions rather than just providing services. With projects spanning retail, industrial, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors, their approach is rooted in technical excellence, commercial insight, and a deep understanding of clients' needs. They believe in the power of collaboration, bringing together diverse ideas and expertise to achieve better outcomes. The firm comprises a multidisciplinary team of over 40 surveyors and planners, providing specialist advice across Development Consultancy, Regeneration & CPO, Town Planning, Occupier and Lease Advisory, and Transactional Services.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and secure new business opportunities, particularly in housing land and large mandate occupier clients.
  2. Build and maintain a portfolio of clients looking to develop and build.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to achieve business growth targets.
  4. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  6. Provide expert advice and guidance on planning and development matters.
  7. Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in business development within the planning and development sector.
  2. Strong track record of securing large-scale projects and clients.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  4. In-depth knowledge of the UK planning system and development processes.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
