Please note that the compensation package for this role includes a combination of commission and equity-only components.
Responsibilities
- Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurants across your region in a very organised fashion. This means being a city-level expert including knowing the up-and-coming restaurants and which restaurants are trending or doing well with customers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, networking, and market analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Communicate (physical visits, emails, calls, and social media) with restaurants to demonstrate Deliveroo technology.
- Oversee the restaurant onboarding process to ensure it is as quick, efficient, and seamless as possible.
- Ensure restaurant success within the first eight weeks of signing.
- Sample food from a variety of high-quality establishments.
- Attend restaurant and food meet-ups.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of client solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitors; and identify potential areas for growth.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to expand professional networks and represent the company.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in business development, sales, or account management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships, drive sales cycles, and close deals.
- Commercially knowledgeable who understands the economics of food delivery.
- Be able to demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients.
- Take ownership and work within demanding targets.
- Passionate about/have a high interest in food and restaurants.
- Be tenacious and motivated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and sales productivity tools.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A bachelor's degree or above in Business, Marketing, or a related field would be a bonus but not mandatory.
