A global Reinsurance Business is looking to bring in a Business Consultant on a permanent basis to support the Casualty Underwriting pillar in meeting business objectives and initiatives while driving consistency and product excellence.

Our client is looking for someone who will co-ordinate underwriting (UW) activities while working to support change within the team. You will be responsible for the meeting of governance and compliance in relation to reporting as well as setting the strategic direction of the operating model.

The ideal candidate would have:

• Technical expertise, (re)insurance knowledge of business area principles, practices, procedures, and ability to apply judgment.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners and foster a culture of effective working relationships.
• The ability to embrace and drive change initiatives with a strong background in delivering business change success.
• Good appreciation of the commercial impacts of change to product line.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple initiatives.
• Demonstrable experience of getting best results collaboratively with internal/ external stakeholders and the ability to create an environment that brings the best in people as part of a broader global team.
• Advanced Microsoft Office systems skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
