Recent experience of a hands-on role delivering business change, i.e. change to ways of working (e.g. Business Change Manager, Business Readiness Manager, Implementation Manager). The experience of business change could be gained alongside managing a project or programme or sometimes as part of an HR/Organisational Development role.
Ability to evidence a working knowledge of key business change activities: stakeholder analysis/management (could include communications), change impact assessment, change management interventions (could include training or working with a training team/department, development of user guidance or e-learning), assessing and ensuring business readiness for the change, assessing and managing realization of the benefits of the change.
Recent and significant experience of working to implement people-centric change, managing resistance, encouraging adoption of new ways of working, influencing difficult stakeholders at all levels, facilitating workshops, and potentially delivering training and/or communications (or working alongside trainers/comms managers).
Desirable Criteria
Experience of delivering change in a law enforcement or national security environment.
Evidence of contributing to an organisation’s ‘Centre of Excellence’/capability development – i.e. development of tools, templates, guides, training for the change management function.
An ideal candidate’s background & experience
Experienced Business Change Management professional with recent experience of a hands-on role delivering business change (i.e. not a leadership role coordinating the “doers”).
Knowledge of and experience working in a law enforcement or national security environment (ideally in a business change/project delivery role but could have been an operational individual who has transitioned over to project delivery or someone who was working in Organisational Development on people change management).
Experience of Change Management capability development/continuous improvement.
Experience of organisational, cultural and technology change.
