A little more about your role…

We are seeking a Business Case Consultant based in London specialising in business case development for a wide range of mobility schemes.

• Advising clients and colleagues on the requirements for the Commercial and Management Dimensions within the 5-Case model
• Leading the delivery of high-quality 5-Case business cases aligned with HMT Green Book and DfT guidance
• Managing junior colleagues in UK/India to deliver business case inputs to quality, time and budget
• Working effectively with colleagues and Project Managers in other service lines on large multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery
• Supporting the growth of Business Case Advisory (BCA) work through contributing to bidding, client management and growing BCA capability and capacity across Mobility Planning

You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our Net Zero, Future Mobility and other expertise practice groups on a range of innovative strategies and projects for our clients.

Your Team

Our Transport Business Case Advisory team is involved in a wide range of high-profile and exciting projects, supporting clients in local authorities, Sub-National Transport Bodies, Combined Authorities and National Highways, as well as DfT, to unlock funding for infrastructure and services. We help our clients successfully navigate the changing policy, funding and appraisal landscape, facing the challenges around delivering clean, inclusive growth, while adapting to technological and political developments and disruptors.

Team members are based in a number of offices and provide specialist business case and appraisal input to a wide range of projects across the country, across a range of mobility proposals and throughout the development, delivery and operation of schemes.

The successful applicant will help us to deliver challenging and exciting work for a range of national and regional clients.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

• Experience in the development of all five dimensions of transport business cases, advising on requirements for the Strategic, Commercial and Management Dimensions.
• Good task management skills developed across a range of transport and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Some experience in business development and work winning.
• The ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision and ability to adapt approach as necessary dependent on live project requirements.
• Good spoken and written communication skills. Ability to liaise confidently with internal and external colleagues including public sector officials, members of the public and other key project stakeholders.
