6-Month Contract - Hybrid Work Pattern

Hays are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst. For an initial 6-month contract, paying £400 per day inside IR35. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) within a local council or public sector organisation. This role requires proficiency in Power BI for reporting and exceptional soft skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and project dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Zero-Based Budgeting processes to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive reports using Power BI.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyse financial data.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve budgeting and financial planning.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Zero-Based Budgeting within a local council or public sector organisation.
• Proficiency in Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
