Job description

Join us as a Business Analyst.

Take on a critical high-profile role in the Operations Centre of Excellence, defining and realizing fantastic solutions, processes, benefits, and new opportunities.

You’ll be delivering the five-year strategic vision for Operations, transforming the operational capability across the bank and helping us to shape the future of our operations by delivering pan-bank innovative solutions.

It’s a great chance to hit the ground running and make a tangible impact on the bank’s operational capability as you work in a vibrant, forward-looking team.

What you'll do

In your new role, you’ll be managing the analysis of complex cross-franchise and pan-group requirements, while capturing, validating, and documenting business and system requirements, ensuring alignment with key strategic principles and the Operations strategy.

You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the business to create, shape, define, and own pan-operations and individual franchise opportunities. You’ll build, manage, and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders at different levels of hierarchy and third-party suppliers across multiple franchises and functions.

You’ll also:

  1. Create and maintain documentation, as well as support controls and quality assurance for key stakeholders and suppliers.
  2. Identify upstream failure demand in processes and propose remediation to prevent flow of work into operations.
  3. Trace and link business requirements to future state design and communicate business needs into technical requirements.
  4. Create and execute test scenarios and test scripts at various stages of the project in order to validate the solution design.
  5. Facilitate user acceptance testing and support business users in executing the user acceptance testing.

The skills you'll need

You’ll need to hold an appropriate business analyst certification, such as BAX, CPRE, or CBAP. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and have the ability to pay keen attention to detail and drive progress at pace.

It’ll be ideal if you have experience working with large-scale automation or AI and strategies that are tangible and grounded, as well as a background in business design and experience of Agile processes and ceremonies.

You’ll also need:

  1. Experience of applying business analysis tools and techniques, including the use of a wide range of data such as Operational, Technology, Finance, and HR to support problem solving and decision making.
  2. Experience of delivering change within a banking operations team driving measurable business outcomes.
  3. The drive to understand emerging technical capabilities and how these might be leveraged by Operations.
  4. The ability to engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders at senior level across the bank.
  5. An analytical mindset, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize your work.
  6. Critical thinking skills, enabling you to cut through complexity and make sound decisions and recommendations that are carefully balanced against risk.
