Job Title: Business Analyst - KYC/Fraud Projects (Banking & Mortgages)

Location: Remote with 1 or 2 days a month on site

About Us:

We're now seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in KYC (Know Your Customer) and Fraud to join our team and contribute to transformative projects within the banking and mortgage sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including project sponsors, business owners, and SMEs, to identify, prioritize, and shape the business requirements, with a specific focus on KYC and Fraud prevention in banking and mortgage operations.
• Document Business Requirements: Capture, analyze, and document complex business requirements, focusing on KYC/Fraud processes, data management, and reporting needs.
• Options Analysis: Present clear options analysis for KYC/Fraud-related projects, considering the benefits, risks, costs, and impacts to inform decision-making.
• Lead Successful Delivery: Ensure the business requirements are successfully delivered, with a focus on KYC and Fraud processes, throughout the Project Life Cycle, ensuring all deliverables align with business needs and compliance regulations.
• Stakeholder & Risk Management: Engage with senior management and third-party suppliers to ensure all risks and issues related to KYC/Fraud projects are identified and resolved, maintaining project momentum and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Governance & Change Management: Ensure that all project governance standards are adhered to, in line with the Change Management Framework. Support the embedding of this framework across the business, specifically within the KYC/Fraud projects.

• Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in financial services, ideally within KYC, Fraud, or Regulatory Reporting projects.
• Experience in Savings & Mortgage products with a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape surrounding these products.
• Data & Reporting Analysis Expertise: Proven ability to analyze large datasets, create detailed reports and dashboards, and work with data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, etc.).
• KYC/Fraud Project Experience: Hands-on experience leading or working on KYC and Fraud-related projects within the banking and mortgage industries. A deep understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) processes and compliance requirements is essential.
• Strong Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to interpret complex business requirements and present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor colleagues, and promote collaboration across departments and third-party vendors.
• Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Proactive in identifying potential risks and issues, and working to resolve them in a timely and effective manner.

• BSC diploma in Business Analysis or an equivalent industry qualification.
• Experience in Regulatory Reporting within financial services.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Visio).
