Business Analyst (HR Reward Transformation)

We have an initial 6-month contract for a Business Analyst with experience in either IT or HR Reward Transformation. The role is hybrid, and you will work mainly from home, but it is expected that you attend the office in either Cambridge or Macclesfield on occasion.

Experience in leading and driving change and projects is essential. You will be leading or contributing to business analysis on strategic projects that help our GBS and Finance teams protect our employees, our Intellectual Property, and the environment. You will collaborate directly with the business stakeholders, business relationship managers, and the technology teams crafting and delivering our enabling technology.

The IT Business Analyst is expected to perform at some Intermediate Experienced Level the following:

  1. Business Needs Identification: Operates at a functional level in assessing and defining business needs and areas for improvement. Proactively seeks out opportunities to enhance and improve in line with strategic goals. Actively monitors and identifies capability gaps and proposes potential solutions through research internally and externally.
  2. Business Analysis Planning: Selects the appropriate analysis approach based on complexity, level of risk, known assumptions, constraints, and dependencies. Proficient in scoping and recommending appropriate approaches. Capable of planning and managing their own and other team members’ activities to meet deliverables and deadlines.
  3. Stakeholder Analysis & Change: Effectively identifies stakeholders from all areas of the business and actively builds and maintains relationships according to individual stakeholder needs and levels of influence. Contributes to communication plans and change management for project and stakeholders.
  4. Requirements Analysis and Design Definition: Responsible and accountable for requirements management plans, including elicitation, approvals, processes, RAID, and scope impacts. Highly responsive to changing business priorities with the ability to plan ahead, accounting for potential changes and corrective actions. Leads the work with the business to identify functional and technical requirements.
  5. Business Case Definition: Shapes and defines the business case, producing detailed business justification for investment including ROI and benefits realization.
  6. Solution Evaluation: Highly proficient in analyzing and assessing solution proposals and able to articulate supporting reasoning.

Work collaboratively with:

  1. Business Relationship Managers to develop and maintain the business relationship.
  2. Various levels of Business Stakeholders to ensure that solutions fulfill their future strategic needs and challenges.
  3. Business customers to identify business requirements and effectively communicate impact, cost, and benefits of new and changed demands.
  4. Process owners to identify and devise solutions that optimize business process performance, capability, and competitiveness.
  5. IT Architecture, Delivery, and Support to ensure clear understanding of requirements and effective testing.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  1. 3+ years IT experience.
  2. 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst preferred.
  3. Experience in leading and driving change and projects.
  4. Experience of successfully deploying business analysis tools/techniques to enable business change.
  5. Engagement, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  1. Formal certification in business analysis practice preferred.
  2. Practical usage of Agile Methodology.
  3. Experience of working in a global organization with complex/geographical context.
  4. Exposure to User Centered Design and Design thinking.
