Job description

Business Analyst- HSCNI

VANRATH are recruiting a Business Analyst for one of our best clients, a large Health Service organisation based in Belfast. This Business Analyst role will run initially for 3 months (with a likely extension). Reporting into the Senior Manager, this is a full time post 37.5 hours per week. The role will be hybrid with a split week between being office based and working remotely.

Project: Replacing existing HR and Finance systems for the functions of Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Recruitment, Human Resources (HR), Pay and Travel Management.

Remuneration: HSCNI BAND 6 payscale, plus holiday & pension.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of the Change/Training Workstream Team on a large and complex regional transformation programme. The Business Analyst will lead the analysis and documentation of complex and multi stranded business/functional and administrative workflows, information, data collection and reporting requirements.

The Ideal Person:

  1. Degree/HND in ICT or related discipline with 2 years relevant experience as an ICT BA in an organisation with over 50+ users.
  2. Three years proven experience in an ICT Business Analyst Role.
  3. An expert knowledge of the principles of ICT Business Analysis including the ability to analyse, write and review complex technical documentation e.g. system specifications, technical reports.
  4. An understanding of the main principles of project management.
  5. Have worked with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  6. Excellent communication skills to meet the needs of the post in full.
  7. Definition of test conditions and analysis and reporting of test activities and results.
  8. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.
  9. Ability to provide ICT technical advice/guidance at a level of detail that the recipient can understand. This ranges from an individual level to giving presentations to large groups of multidisciplinary stakeholders where intricate and/or technical information has to be explained in layman's terms.
