Role details:
Support the Nuclear & Onshore Finance Teams in the production of monthly management accounts, forecasts, annual budgets and long-range plans. Initially to learn / develop experience with aim to progress into more Senior Finance role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the sector monthly management accounts: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow
- Review Sector WIP accounts with Commercial Teams (Red Flag Review)
- Investigation into variances and large movements to ensure reporting is accurate.
- Responsible for the production of Supplementary Schedules to the monthly Management Accounts in conjunction with Financial accounting team.
- Assist in ensuring accounting integrity and appropriate understanding / analysis of forecasts and actuals within Business Central through liaison with business sectors and commercial managers
- Drive and support long term initiative to reduce reliance on Excel reporting in favour of system generated reports
- Production of various control reports and close liaison with the system gatekeepers to ensure accurate reporting
- Assist with requests from Bid Teams
- Support quarterly/annual external financial audits
- Ad hoc financial analysis and support on key finance projects
Key Requirements:- Degree: A Degree in finance or a related field
- Relevant coursework: Strong academic performance in relevant coursework
- Technical skills: Some knowledge of financial modelling, data analysis
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyse data
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and solve financial problems.
- Teamwork skills: Ability to work effectively in teams and collaborate with colleagues.
- Attention to detail: Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial in financial calculations and reporting.
- Some relevant Financial experience would be advantageous
