About You

We are looking for a business analyst to join our growing Systems and Insight team within Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE) at Warwick. The successful candidate will play an important role in enabling the work of the DAE team in preparation for a major new institutional fundraising campaign.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Business Analyst mindset to contribute to a world-leading University and help the DAE team optimise its processes and systems. We're looking for someone who is ready to make a truly impactful contribution during a transformational time at Warwick.

Typical tasks for a Business Analyst will include gathering and analysing business requirements, pain points, improvement opportunities and proposed solutions, facilitating workshops, capturing the voice and needs of the end user, understanding our service performance metrics, designing and documenting future processes, supporting solution design and participating in testing. You may also be called upon to deep-dive ad-hoc business problems, identify root causes and recommend appropriate solutions.

You will work within the Systems (data) team and liaise with stakeholders at all levels across the DAE team, to support the initial assessment of requirements with a focus on process analysis, to enable effective project scoping and prioritisation. You will work closely with project managers to help articulate desired project goals and benefits, define current and target states, elicit requirements, evaluate options and feasibility, and propose recommendations. You will also support project delivery activities, ensuring that solutions meet end user requirements.

Prior experience as a Business Analyst is not essential but you must be able to demonstrate evidence of strong analytical skills, the ability to capture and analyse complex information and a track record in championing change and the needs of the end user.

For further information regarding the skills required for this role please see the personal specification section of the attached job description.
