Job Title: Business Analyst - Submarines

Working Pattern: 37 hours days

Working location: Derby Raynesway

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst within the Submarines business to undertake the analysis of business data and process issues to identify risks and issues relating to product delivery and business performance, and ensure that these risks and issues are flagged to the accountable area for mitigation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Interrogate SAP and Program Management tools to identify and quantify risks to delivery based on system data.
  • Monitor the SAP and relevant systems to ensure that the integrity of plans are maintained through both demand management and ERP system operation - work with the Super User community to ensure Master data integrity is supporting this aim.
  • Analyse actual performance and extrapolate to predict future risk and highlight these risks to the required parties for mitigation.
  • Design and produce business reports which enable visibility of performance and contribute to the Function / Factory / Operations.
  • Assist with root cause analysis of delivery / process issues to enable corrective and containment actions to be implemented.
  • Review business processes and plans to identify opportunities to improve.
  • To operate to the relevant policies and procedures as defined and comply with RRMS.

  • Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification.
  • Proven analytical capability based on academic qualifications or experience.
  • Experience of a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of load and capacity planning is essential.
  • Systems knowledge - SAP MRP, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
