As our Business Affairs Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the business affairs team and handling financial and legal aspects of all agency production - TV, radio, print, integrated productions usage rights and other agency projects.
  • Serving as an expert and main point of contact for the production team, producers, account management, and agency leadership for all production matters.
  • Overseeing the business affairs, production business managers and talent management team across offices in EMEA.
  • Maintaining a focus on a solutions-oriented environment and educating while inspiring collaboration.
  • Interface and coordinate with creative, client engagement, accounting, legal and outside production partners.
  • Overseeing a broad spectrum of legal matters including technology transactions, intellectual property rights and usage of original programming across all media platforms.
  • Advancing the department of business affairs by targeting select talent that can continue to enhance our capabilities within the evolving content landscape.
  • Leading scoping/evaluation of new business to determine level of business affairs staffing and involvement.
  • Evaluating, evolving and educating agency concerning business affairs/talent processes.

Qualifications

  • Understanding and adherence to current client guidelines and procedures.
  • Reviewing scripts, decks/storyboards and preparing estimates with producers and/or Account Management.
  • Supporting agency producer team on all production jobs through all phases of production.
  • Estimating and monitoring all production costs.
  • Issuing all production, stock, and music contracts and/or licenses.
  • Handling any billing issues and ensuring proper legal approvals are secured, including any third-party trademark releases.
  • Managing and monitoring all production costs, processing contracts, and invoices.
  • Estimating talent session, processing contracts, clearing, booking, and issuing talent contracts.
  • Issuing POs, reviewing and approving all production invoices, actualizing, and closing production jobs.
  • Managing network clearance process, including identifying non-compliant claims, collecting all substantiation for claims, and working with networks toward resolution.
  • Collaborating with account management to ensure timely release and shipping of final commercials.

  • A calm and patient demeanor when facing stressful situations and urgent deadlines.
  • A desire to continuously learn and evolve and grow the business affairs team for the current advertising landscape pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance guidelines (e.g., GDPR, ICH, HDSA, ePrivacy Directive etc.).
