Are you eager to kick-start your career in business administration while making a real impact in your community? Cheshire East Highways is excited to offer an enthusiastic and motivated individual the opportunity to join our Network Management team as a Business Administration Apprentice.
This unique role combines hands-on experience with classroom learning, enabling you to develop valuable skills in a professional environment while working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification over 18 months. You'll gain industry knowledge, receive guidance from seasoned professionals, and attend local college sessions to enhance your learning.
As a key member of the team, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating street works, processing licence and permit applications, issuing fixed penalty notices, and supporting the management of third-party claims.

The Role
Assist with review of permit applications and licence requests, such as skips, scaffolds, hoardings and permits
Assist with the review and co-ordination of all activities on the highway network
Support the inspection team with issuing fixed penalty notices
Assist with the co-ordination of third-party claims. Liaise with the appropriate industry professionals to provide the most cost-effective claims management approach
Maintain accurate records on the allocated projects
Job Description
About You
Experience of Microsoft systems (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, databases)
English and Maths GCSE A*-C or 9-4
Strong organisational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Passion and willingness to learn and develop new skills
Candidates who haven’t received their final results by the date of the assessment centre are still encouraged to apply as this can be discussed with hiring managers.
