Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated Building Surveyor to join our close-knit team.


The Role:
As a Building Surveyor specialising in insurance claims, you will be responsible for assessing property damage, providing accurate reports, and guiding clients through the claims process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring fair outcomes for policyholders while maintaining strong relationships with insurers and other stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties affected by damage (e.g., fire, flood, subsidence).
  2. Produce detailed and accurate reports on building conditions and necessary remedial works.
  3. Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and policyholders to facilitate smooth claim progression.
  4. Provide expert advice on repair methodologies and costs.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and industry standards.
  6. Deliver clear communication and support to clients throughout the claims journey.

About You:
  1. Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, preferably within the insurance sector.
  2. Strong knowledge of building construction, pathology, and insurance claim processes.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
  5. Professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) desirable but not essential.
  6. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
