Job description

A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property and construction environment.


The Role
Key purpose of the role is to deliver a full range of traditional Building Surveying services across both public and private sector projects, assisting in the management of client and project teams to ensure high-quality service delivery from inception to completion.


Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  1. Delivering projects, commissions, and professional assignments from inception to completion
  2. Undertaking building surveys, dilapidations, and contract administration duties
  3. Managing effective communication and maintaining strong client relationships
  4. Supporting the growth and development of a new office with a strong say in its future direction

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

  1. MRICS (Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience)
  2. BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or equivalent construction-related qualification

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  1. Experience in residential and commercial property sectors
  2. Strong technical skills in dilapidations, defects analysis, party wall matters, and contract administration
  3. Competency in statutory compliance, façade services (including EWS1), and design/feasibility assessments

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £60,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance.
