Chartered Building Surveyor

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Understand and deliver key project outputs to ensure client satisfaction.
2. Support the preparation of building information, safety cases, audit and compliance trackers, and logs using appropriate software.
3. Work towards completing a relevant professional qualification with dedicated support.
4. Assist in delivering building safety case works, including report completion.
5. Work closely with a small team, reporting directly to the Team Leader/Delivery Director.
6. Engage in projects across London, Essex, and Kent (valid UK driving license required).
7. Develop a career path within the built environment, acquiring skills consistent with the role of a Building Surveyor.

Procedures and Administration:

1. Write reports and assist in Contract Administration for high-rise remediation works.
2. Support the resident liaison process required for project completion.
3. Develop the ability to take minutes in internal and external meetings.
4. Understand the context of discussion points within project teams.
5. Assist in the tender process and procurement of key consultants and contractors.

Skills, Knowledge, Understanding, and Learning:

1. Liaise closely with clients, residents, contractors, developers, Clerk of Works, and other stakeholders.
2. Develop an understanding of the Building Safety Act's requirements and work collaboratively with internal and external project team members.
3. Gain experience in diagnostic and building pathology, reporting on residential, education, and healthcare buildings.
