Building Surveyor

Contract job opportunity for a Building Surveyor who specializes in repairs and disrepair to join a local authority in the Newcastle area. As the Building Surveyor, you will be primarily responsible for carrying out pre-inspections on complex disrepair cases. This role offers hybrid working, business mileage, and is a 12-month contract.

Duties of the Building Surveyor:

1. Completing repairs inspections and overseeing required work to successful resolution
2. Undertaking disrepair surveys in line with organisational policies
3. Overseeing the delivery of mixed tenure work programmes in accordance with the organisation
4. Managing external contractors

What is required of the Building Surveyor:

1. HNC or Degree in building surveying or similar or to demonstrate a strong background within the building industry
2. Proven experience working with others to deliver property-related works
3. Experience of working within a building, surveying, and maintenance environment
4. Working knowledge of legislations and best practice
5. Proficient user of Microsoft packages
6. Full valid driving licence
7. Strong knowledge surrounding section 11
