Our client is one of the UK's leading housing associations and is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Building Surveyor to join their team based in East London, managing a patch there and in Essex too.

Salary up to £53,000 per annum + car users allowance.

As a Building Surveyor in our Repairs and Maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing building repair projects from start to completion. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, identifying defects, preparing detailed reports, and recommending solutions for necessary repairs and upgrades.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about property maintenance and looking to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful applicant of a Building Surveyor will be able to carry out the following duties:

  1. Conduct building surveys and inspections to identify defects, issues, and areas requiring maintenance or improvement.
  2. Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations for repairs and remedial work.
  3. Develop specifications and schedules of work for repairs and maintenance projects.
  4. Manage and oversee the delivery of repair works, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  5. Provide expert advice to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on maintenance issues.
  6. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of work.
  7. Monitor the progress of repairs and maintenance works, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  8. Assist with the preparation of cost estimates and tender documents for repair and maintenance projects.

Our clients' Building Surveyors carry out detailed property inspections to all types of domestic properties, including routine and complex repairs issues, Damp & Mould surveys, and specify appropriate remedial works.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a confident and experienced Building Surveyor with relevant surveying qualifications and prior experience in a social housing environment to join a leading organisation with an exceptional commitment to staff learning and development, where you will receive a competitive salary and industry-leading benefits package.
