Building Surveyor (Social Housing)

£22-£25/Hr Umbrella

Job Role

Provide assistance to the Building Surveying Manager in delivering a comprehensive surveying, specification and estimating function. To procure and manage contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare bills of quantities, design specs, valuations & site measurements
2. Manage contracts, sub-contract evaluations & procurement processes
3. Oversee financial reconciliations, claims, estimates & cost control
4. Lead retrofit grant schemes, ensuring compliance with PAS & Trustmark
5. Drive procurement & tendering for new projects
6. Maintain strong contractor relationships & oversee project performance

What We're Looking For:

1. HNC in Building Studies (Degree in a construction-related subject desirable)
2. Associate membership of RICS/CIOB (desirable)
3. 5+ years' experience in construction/maintenance
4. Strong knowledge of building surveying, housing repairs & retrofit requirements
5. Experience managing budgets, contracts & procurement processes
6. Strong project management skills from inception to final account
