Job Title: Building Services Mechanical Engineer

Location: Liverpool

Salary on offer: Up to 45k

A leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering practice based in Liverpool are looking for a Building Services Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.

The company has over 35 years of experience, delivering exceptional M&E designs for a wide range of projects, from small bespoke schemes to multi-million-pound developments. The team works with an impressive client base across both public and private sectors, tackling projects in healthcare, education, and commercial markets.

Our Core Focus:

  • High-quality Mechanical & Electrical Services Design.
  • Projects located in Liverpool and the North West of the UK.
  • Both new build and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsabilities

  • Take projects from conception to completion using prepared client brief documents and produce proposal documents.
  • Convert information into working sets of mechanical drawings and specifications for tender and construction.
  • Manage projects and address all technical and construction issues related to mechanical installations.
  • Attend monthly design meetings, assess contractor valuations, conduct site inspections, witness test installations, and issue snagging reports.
  • Be proficient in using IES, Revit, and AutoCAD to design systems such as heating installations, air conditioning, mechanical ventilation, VRV/VRF installations, water services, and soils & wastes.
  • Be a strong team player, take pride in their work, and support the development of younger staff members.
  • Multitask effectively, have excellent organizational skills, communicate well, be self-motivated, and enthusiastic about the role.

About you

We are seeking a Building Services Mechanical Engineer with a minimum HND in Mechanical Building Services and up to five years of post-graduation experience.

Ideally, you will have worked with a Building Services Consultancy Practice, but Project & Contract Managers with Design & Build experience will also be considered.
