Job Title: Building Safety Project Manager (Resident Engagement)

Location: Newham

Duration: 3 - 6 months temp assignment with view for further extension thereafter

Day Rate: £310.39 per day PAYE or £400 per day Umbrella

Role Overview: The role will be to deliver the council's building safety resident engagement strategy, including:

1. Reviewing and amending the Building Safety Resident Engagement Strategy as required
2. Liaison with the Building Safety Regulator as necessary
3. Supporting the High Rise Living residents group through collaboration with the Housing Resident Engagement team
4. Preparing and issuing resident communications to support Building Assessment Certificate applications
5. Liaison with internal council teams, residents, contractors, and consultants
6. Developing and implementing effective systems of communication with residents and delivering appropriate safety information for each building in scope

Key Experience Required:

1. Experience of working on construction projects with residents in occupation
2. Experience of investigating and resolving building defects
3. Experience in private sector/public sector property maintenance, housing, or construction environment
4. Experience of dealing with complex construction projects
5. Professionally qualified of CIOB, RICS, APM
6. A demonstrable understanding of building regulations and the requirements of the Building Safety legislation
7. Knowledge of the requirements for good building safety management and processes
8. Good stakeholder engagement knowledge and experience
9. Excellent project management knowledge and experience
