Job description

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Building Safety Manager for a national housing association. This is a home based role, involving ad-hoc national travel to properties when required, and travel to the North West approximately once per month. The salary is £52,000 per annum, plus £5,000 car allowance. Mileage for any travel can be claimed immediately from home to site.

The role:

  • Ensure properties are compliant in the big 6 areas, including gas, fire, water, asbestos, electrical, and lifting equipment.
  • Ensure all properties comply with health and safety legislation, including external and communal areas.
  • Undertake regular internal audits on the execution of the organisation’s statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Act as Building Safety Lead for the organisation, developing policies, processes and systems to identify and manage risks to our properties.
  • Ensure contractors comply with health and safety regulations, acting as the go-to person for CDM and Building Safety Assurance.

What you need:

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety Qualification.
  • Knowledge of legislative compliance requirements in housing including Gas, Fire, Water, Asbestos, Electrical and specialist equipment relevant to the housing sector and construction.
