BMS Engineer – Central London (Foot Mobile)

Salary: £DOE + Door-to-Door + Travel + Overtime + Car Allowance + Bonus

Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00

Location: Central London

Job Overview:

An excellent opportunity for a BMS Engineer to join a growing team, providing expert service and support for Building Management Systems (BMS) across Central London. This role involves delivering efficient fault diagnosis, system maintenance, and energy optimisation to ensure clients’ systems are operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivering effective service and support to installed BMS systems, ensuring smooth system performance.
2. Identifying and rectifying application faults, reporting issues accurately to clients.
3. Providing Tridium support and servicing, with regular on-time reporting on daily activities.
4. Liaising closely with the Service Administrator to ensure workload efficiency.
5. Recognising commercial opportunities for system improvements and enhancements.
6. Supporting clients with 1st line 'out-of-hours' escalation, offering both remote and on-site assistance.
7. Acting as a 1st line escalation point for technical issues encountered by engineers.
8. Promoting carbon-reducing, energy-efficient solutions in building controls and mechanical applications.
9. Ensuring all Health & Safety practices are adhered to, including the production of risk assessments.
10. Keeping clients informed of high and medium-priority recommendations after each site visit.

Call Out: £100 per month, with a minimum of 2 hours' pay if called out.

Site Visits: Only 3 sites require on-site attendance, with the remainder handled remotely.

Salary Range:

• Up to £60,000 for candidates with 5+ years of BMS experience.
• Mid-£40,000 range for candidates with strong plant room knowledge (pumps, chillers, building services) who are eager to develop BMS expertise.

Ideal Candidate:

• Senior or Junior BMS Engineers are welcome to apply.
• Strong background in BMS service and support with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar environment for senior candidates.
• Alternatively, plant room operations experience with knowledge of pumps, chillers, and building services, with a willingness to be trained in BMS for junior candidates.
• Excellent fault-finding and system optimisation skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide detailed reports and client updates.
• Commitment to Health & Safety standards.
