Building Maintenance Technician - BMW

Rallye BMW, Long Island’s premier BMW dealership, has an immediate opportunity for a Building Maintenance Technician to perform repairs & preventative maintenance on electrical, HVAC, & plumbing systems. The position also includes equipment upkeep and general facility maintenance (such as painting, water heaters, minor carpentry, tile repair, drywall, etc.). Must possess a clean driver’s license. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Examine the facility to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included in the work schedule, and communicate to the Service Manager.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed supplies.
• Understand and follow Federal, State, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Assist in snow removal as needed.
• Conduct a daily walk around to locate any problem areas.
• Report to management any major improvements needed.
• Repair any minor problems found.
• Call any vendors needed for pickup of waste tires and monitor the garbage disposal unit.
• As required, assist in obtaining 100% of service customer vehicles washed and vacuumed prior to delivery to the customer.

Minimum Requirements:

• Clean and valid driver's license.
• At least 2 years of experience in all facets of building maintenance: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
• Previous experience maintaining a large facility.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills.
• Good facility analytical and problem-solving skills.

PAY RATE: $32 Per Hour + Overtime as needed
