Salary up to £42,000 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card

We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations.

About the Role:

As a supervisor you will be working alongside Octavia Housing Association in our Social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.

A Supervisor will be part of a local team supporting the supervision activities and requirements of our Housing operations, ensuring all supervisory procedures are being undertaken efficiently in compliance with Company operating procedures, deliver best in class customer service, whilst satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards relating to budget, profitability, and resource deployment.

  • Responsible for the operational supervision of contract activities, ensuring maximum productivity, profitability, and satisfaction through effective resource utilisation & planning.
  • Supervise and monitor work delivery, progression & completion via ongoing site visits to ensure works are adequately resourced, are being effectively delivered to set quality standards, completed on time and within budgets. Compiling management reports on operational activities, initiatives, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to H&S regulations, Mear’s standard operating procedures, Mears values and quality assurance accreditations. Demonstrate, maintain, and monitor the company’s commitments to best practice with legislation, codes of practice & good working practices relevant to all work activities.
  • Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders, this includes but not limited to, appearance, company ID, maintaining a high standard of health & safety requirements.
  • Carry out Quality Surveys & Visits in homes daily to ascertain requirements for works, including repairs, maintenance, planned / programmed, ensuring compliancy with contractual commitments, service standards, and statutory regulations, highlighting recommendations and remedial actions as required and providing estimates, measurements, costing & budget information associated for works identified.
  • Produce Quality reports & Surveys to support process in line with legal repair cases.
  • Manage all designated budgets and resources in accordance with the priorities of the business and in line with financial and procurement protocols to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service which provides value for money against national and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the commercial growth of the business with identification of cutting-edge solutions to business challenges and opportunities in support of the continued development of services in line with industry best practice of good working practices relevant to all work activities.
  • Support client and give good sound technical advice build trust and demonstrate true partnership working.
