Building Maintenance Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Sefton to assist with the appointment of a Building Maintenance Officer on a 6-month contract, likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £18.24 - £24.17 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Within overall procedural framework develop and maintain systems and procedures to manage risk and financial resources effectively. Manage project delivery and ensure that the individual scheme objectives are met.
• Ensure that design work is carried out in compliance with Construction Design and Management (CDM) legislation.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requirements and assess the most appropriate course of action. Inspect and identify work requirements, prepare estimates and provide advice to the client, prepare specifications and drawings as necessary, seek tenders/quotations and manage delivery of the necessary works.
• Carry out inspections and identify remedial work requirements following acts of vandalism, fire or storm damage, or other insurance-related claims.
• Carry out condition surveys and prepare reports and estimates in assessment of planned maintenance requirements and works prioritization.
• Carry out dilapidation surveys and prepare reports and estimates at the commencement or termination of leasing arrangements.
