Builder

Liberty has an exciting opportunity for a Builder to join our team, based in Salford, Greater Manchester. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, to carry out high quality building and remedial works to domestic properties to a range of different social housing properties. You will be working 40 hours per week, and in return, you will receive a salary of £27,289 per annum plus Company Van & Fuel Card plus excellent benefits!

Responsibilities for this Builder role will include:

1. Boxing in of pipework
2. Joinery including shelving to cupboards, skirting boards, refitting wall units
3. Patch plastering
4. Brickwork
5. Laying concrete slabs/ trenches for condensation/ soakaway
6. Fitting electric fire suites
7. Joinery work, custom build cupboards to go around boilers
8. Install soakaway, lift flags and install or cut concrete and finish to a high standard
9. Box in pipework with pendoc
10. Box in under and above boiler with pendoc
11. Patch up or brick up old flue/ pipe holes
12. General building works
13. General roof works, replace broken tiles (rare)
14. Report finds of asbestos
15. Ensure all works are carried out to a high standard

What we are looking for in our ideal Builder:

1. Recognised formal training attaining the relevant joinery qualification
2. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in building or other building trades
3. Must be competent in all aspects of the building discipline
4. Have a full driving license
5. Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice
6. Ability to manage own time and workload
7. Experience of working with the public
8. Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service
