My client is a specialist provider of vehicle finance, rental, and insurance products. They are looking for a Broker Support Specialist to join their team.
The Broker Support Specialist will be responsible for liaising between broker partners and internal company departments to resolve operational issues in a timely manner and support the smooth operation of business flow between the company and the brokers. The individual will also identify new business opportunities and provide suitable recommendations to the business.
THE ROLE OF BROKER SUPPORT SPECIALIST
- Sales related interaction with brokers proposing business, working with internal departments to ensure that the customer journey is seamless and quickly resolving operational issues that may occur. This includes ensuring that proposals move through the journey as smoothly as possible and maximizing the amount of business written with the broker network.
- Assist with issues that may occur with proposing new business.
- Be a subject matter expert for the Genus system (point of sale system).
- Train and coach broker personnel in using all aspects of Genus and understanding the different statuses of proposals.
- Ensure that system changes and enhancements are communicated and understood fully by brokers.
- Understand how Genus integrates with 3rd party systems used by broker partners.
- Appeal underwriting decisions on behalf of a broker to the Underwriting Team.
- Assist brokers with payout queries to ensure they receive funds for individual agreements promptly.
- Be fully conversant with company policies and procedures to assist with managing potential issues.
- Support the National Business Development Manager in building and maintaining strong business relationships with broker personnel.
- Identify and develop new business channels and make suitable sales recommendations to the National Business Development Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO BE BROKER SUPPORT SPECIALIST
- An in-depth knowledge of retail finance products.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- The ability to train individuals and groups.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills.
- A high degree of self-motivation and time management skills.
- The ability to manage own diary & prioritize.
