Bridge Engineer

A vacancy has come available with a National Multi-Disciplinary's Basingstoke office for a Bridge Engineer. In this role you will be involved in the Design, Assessment and Inspection of Rail & Footbridges. The main bulk of the team's work is Network Rail major projects and repair/strengthening schemes. You will also gain experience of Rail Infrastructure and Building Structures whilst working in this team. They are ideally looking for someone with between 2 - 5 years Bridge Engineering experience, you will be able to show capabilities in Finite Element Analysis using LUSAS, Inspections and Detailed Bridge design using MIDAS/REVIT.

Bridge Engineer Responsibilities

• Design of civil and structural schemes
• Experience in design of Bridges is preferable.
• Experience in working with Network Rail will be an advantage.
• Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others
• Carrying out inspections and surveys of structures and preparing reports
• Undertaking feasibility / option studies
• Preparation of project programmes

Bridge Engineer Requirements

• Relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree BEng, MEng or MSc.
• Engineer with +2 years post graduation.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not imperative
• Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English
