We are looking to employ an enthusiastic radiographer/mammographer to join our team. We are the Chelmsford and Colchester Breast Screening Unit serving the population of North and Mid-Essex. This post is full time 37.5 hours per week, however we would be happy to accept part time with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
We have 11 mobile screening sites including Clacton, Braintree and South Woodham Ferrers.
Two major hospitals are within our catchment area so working in rapid diagnostic clinics is part of the weekly workload. Both Broomfield and Colchester hospitals are equipped with state of the art GE Pristina Mammography machines, 2D and 3D are regularly used in assessment clinics and in Colchester CEM (Contrast Enhanced Mammography) has been introduced.
A qualified Mammographer holding a Post Graduate Award in Mammography is desirable. However, Radiographers with a BSc in Radiography (or equivalent) would be considered for a Band 5 training post progressing to a Band 6 post once qualified.
We would welcome you for an informal visit.
Advanced Practice is supported within the department with radiographers film reading, performing Interventional procedures, cannulating for CEM and carrying out audits. A robust appraisal system is in place and staff wellbeing and patient experience is at the heart of everything we do.
We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex. Our dedicated staff deliver care from acute hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, community hospitals, surgeries, community clinics and in patients' own homes.
