Salary: based on experience. 37.5 hours per week

Main Duties of the Job

As a Breast Cancer CNS, you will work as part of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring that patients with breast cancer receive the highest standard of evidence-based care and support from the time of diagnosis and throughout the cancer pathway.

About Us

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital is the City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This is our flagship center for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynecology, and urology services.

Job Responsibilities

As a Breast Cancer CNS, you will:

1. Work autonomously with an extended and advanced scope of practice.
2. Provide clinical leadership and specialist knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
3. Manage your own clinical caseload, taking a holistic approach towards care management and delivery.
4. Lead and develop the service in line with your specialist knowledge and expertise.

Who We Are Looking For

Educational Qualifications - Essential:

• Registered clinical practitioner with the appropriate governing body.
• A degree/equivalent qualification or proven post-registration/post-qualification experience in your specialist area.
• Advanced Communication course.

Educational Qualifications - Desirable:

• Postgraduate/post-registration training, qualifications, and accreditations as appropriate to the specialism.
• Evidence of continued professional development.

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise:

• Recognised advanced practice.
• Specialist, senior level, post-registration experience gained through formal training required to meet registration requirements.
• Demonstrable specialist experience as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Leadership/management experience.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and able to showcase excellent patient care.
